So today i assumed i might do something a touch different and compare two products head to head! the subject into account is dry shampoos.

When buying dry shampoos you would like to consider: color, feel to the hair after use, (excess) residue and simple application.

Dry shampoos are awesome for days you do not wash your hair (make sure you are not washing your hair everyday anyways, because it'll strip the natural oils from you hair) and wish to feel clean, while getting out of the house during a flash.

The first dry shampoo I ever tried was Pssst (Original) Dry Shampoo:

Pros:

Light weight feel

Powder absorbs quickly with "minimal blending"

Easy application

Goes on wet, but quickly becomes powder

Cons

Smell may be a bit off, but not horrible

Wet feeling (while only temporary) isn't ideal

Rate of spray is quite light

When I spent my first can of Pssst i made a decision to undertake another brand out just to match and contrast. I found Batiste's Original Dry Shampoo for a comparable price (just around a dollar more, but i think you get around 2 oz. more for that money)!

Pros

Amazing application (the amount of product and force of the nozzle is unmatched)

Goes on as powder with minimal liquid feeling

Smell is far more pleasant than Pssst's

Makes my hair feel more voluminous and cleaner overall than with Pssst

Cons:

Sometimes when blending there's some residue from the merchandise (easily remedied by running hands through hair again)

You will notice that there are currently rebate stickers attached to pick cans of Psssssst. I bought this one at my local Rite Aid, but i do know that Walgreens also carries it (and FYI, one among my lovely readers told me that when she bought her can of Psssssst in the week at Walgreens, it rang up for just $1.99 albeit that sale price was unadvertised. So if you actually want this, head over to your Walgreens TODAY and see if you'll catch on for $1.99. Otherwise, expect to pay around $5 for it if it isn't on sale).

The dvery system for this product is that the usual aerosol spray nozzle, exactly like Batiste and TREsemme:

Let's take a glance at some before-and-after shots, using my greasy, oily, next-day hair as an example:

If you haven't read my previous dry shampoo reviews, let me tell you that I even have oily skin, oily hair, and side-swept bangs, which makes me a major candidate for dry shampoos. If I attempt to skip each day of shampooing, my bangs are getting to allow you to know that i have never washed my hair that day.

PLEASE NOTE: within the above pic, I even have pushed back the highest layer of my bangs to reveal my oily hair underneath. this is often the layer of hair that rests directly on my forehead so it gets the oiliest. this is often what my bangs appear as if once I skip each day of shampooing.

Here are my bangs literally just a couple of seconds after applying Pssssst. I followed the directions and lightly sprayed this product near my roots, holding the can about 6 inches faraway from my head. during this pic, I even have NOT combed my hair or done anything but actually apply the merchandise .

This pic was taken maybe 1 or 2 minutes after using Psssssst. the sole thing I even have done is employed a fine-tooth comb to smooth my hair and comb it into place.

Looking at these pictures, i feel it's safe to mention that Psssssst does leave a subtle white cast to your hair upon application, but I actually found it almost just like the subtle white cast that Batiste leaves in my hair, and that i found Psssssst equal in terms of how quickly the white cast dissipates on behalf of me . Just a couple of swipes with a fine-tooth comb and therefore the white cast is gone (at least for me). one among the pros of TREsemme, for me, is that there was actually no white cast left behind once I used that product, which is great if you've got darker hair.

I was also very impressed with the shine that Psssssst leaves behind. With TREsemme, my hair looked dull and felt kind of sticky and coated. With Psssssst, my hair doesn't look dull and only features a slightly powdery feel thereto .

The main difference between these three products, for me, is that the way my hair takes care of i exploit them. With Psssssst, my hair looks noticeably less oily, but Psssssst doesn't add any extra volume or texture to my hair. In other words, it doesn't provides it any ooomph. Which is ok if you actually only want to get rid of oil and do not care about any added benefits. But with Batiste, my hair almost feels thicker and has more volume after i exploit it. i can not explain it, but it's as if Batiste almost brings my oily hair back to life (in addition to removing the oil). With TREsemme, my least favorite of the three, my hair doesn't feel less oily (in fact, it feels kind of sticky) and therefore the strong chemical smell may be a deal-breaker on behalf of me .

If I had to rank these three so as of preference, i might say that Batiste still comes out on top, followed by Psssssst in second and TREsemme in third. But please note, tons of you actually like TREsemme and have had wonderful results with it. So confine mind that these are just my opinions and your mileage definitely may vary counting on your hair thickness, type and color. What works on behalf of me might not work for you, so i like to recommend you are doing you research and keep an open mind with all three.
